Jason Park is a pianist, keyboardist, organist, and composer with his unique style of contemporary jazz, bebop, gospel, fusion jazz, R&B, and funk. He began his musical studies at age twenty, right after he dropped out his university degree in Environment Engineering. He entered Seoul Jazz Academy, where he put the first step on his musical life. After graduated from Seoul Jazz Academy, he entered Berklee College of Music as a scholar. Inspired by funk-fusion jazz artists like Fourplay, Brian Culbertson, Snarky Puppy, Yellowjackets and others, Jason started writing his original music for his gigs and recitals.
As a player, he usually plays in live events, including club gigs, church gigs, concerts, and he also busks on the street many times, not for money but to communicate with people with his ardent, soulful performance.
No matter where he plays, Jason always does his best, with full of passion and effort. “As a musician,” he said, “we have a responsibility to make the audience happy, and change the moment into one of the greatest memories in their lives.” Like his saying, he always burns up all his energy every time he faces his audience. “I’ve been so happy to fill my life with the music I love,” he said, “and I want to share this feeling with many people. That’s why I chose this.”
